Terms of service

Last updated 12 August 2026

1. The service

KillTheBots provides a locally deployed filtering agent, a signed intelligence feed and a hosted console. Filtering decisions are executed by software running on infrastructure you control.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your policy configuration, for keeping the agent updated, and for the lawfulness of blocking or challenging traffic to your site. Enforcement settings are yours to choose.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to filter traffic in a way that violates applicable law, to attack third parties, or to resell the intelligence feed without a written agreement.

4. Availability

The console targets 99.9% monthly availability. Because decisions are local, console downtime does not stop filtering; the agent continues on its last verified policy and intelligence release.

5. No guarantee of complete protection

Bot filtering is probabilistic. We do not warrant that every automated request will be detected, nor that no legitimate request will ever be challenged or blocked.

6. Fees and cancellation

Plans are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Overage is invoiced in arrears at the rate shown on the usage page.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss.

8. Changes

We will notify account owners by email at least 30 days before a material change to these terms takes effect.
